Tour guide and Driver Guide in Malta and Gozo for Hotel or Cruise Liner visitors. A quality personalised service aimed at the tourist interested in History - Megalithic Temples and Knights' Palaces, Forts and more - such as the British legacy.... and our way of life today.
"One of the difficult things for a tourist to remember was
that a city was just another city,
not a theme park
set in place for his personal amusement."

MERHBA ! - Welcome ! My job is Guiding Visitors around the real Malta and Gozo - to help them discover what makes this small nation-state so unique.
With Elena Paparizou and the Greece Eurovision 2005 team outside Mdina
My name is Vincent DeBono and I am from the Island of Malta G.C.. situated in the very heart of the Mediterranean
I qualified as a Tour Guide in 1990. After a ten-year career in the Civil Service, I joined the private sector, spending a total of four years working in Destination Management Firms. Since graduating from the University of Malta Guides' Course, I have taken thousands of people from Students to Ambassadors, Journalists and Photographers to Tour Operators on Study Visits, around the well known sites and other places off the beaten track. I have worked on a Freelance basis for various Embassies, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Malta Tourism Authority, The Ministry for Culture, English Language Schools and firms such as OTS/Elderhostel (US), Grand Circle (US), Thomson (UK), Intelekta (Slovenia), Studiosus (Germany) etc. and 5*hotels like the Hilton and Intercontinental.
Elected President of the Maltese Guides' Association, I served the two year term. Was also chosen to represent Various Tourism Entities on the Human Resources and Support Services Directorate of the Malta Tourism Authority.
.....and yet, Malta's role in History means that you can find remains dating from 5600 to 60 years old practically within sight of each other. This rich diversity makes my job as a Tour Guide both very demanding and interesting, and ultimately very rewarding.
My favourites are the Knights' period - for the sheer wealth of remains still visible around us such as their Fortifications. But I also take particular interest in the "immediate history" of World War 2 in which Malta played a pivotal role. I am greatly fascinated by some of my clients' accounts of their participation in this momentous event, especially if it had direct relevance to my country.
